My name is Edith Lester, and I’m a passionate musician and educator with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Western Connecticut State University (2019). I bring 18 years of experience as a violinist and 9 years as a pianist, performing at a wide range of events—including weddings, nonprofit concerts, talent shows, and memorial services—since the age of 17.

Music has always been a core part of my life, both on stage and in service. I’ve held leadership roles such as Head Chorister and Choir Superintendent in my local church, demonstrating my commitment to musical excellence and spiritual community.
As a violin instructor, I’ve taught students of all ages across Connecticut and North Carolina. Since high school, I’ve also volunteered extensively, sharing my love of music with elementary students and individuals with physical and mental disabilities.
My teaching philosophy centers on creating a fun, supportive, and inclusive environment where students—especially youth—can build confidence, express themselves, and grow as musicians. I truly believe anyone can learn an instrument with dedication and encouragement.

It is an honor to work with the Wake Forest Community Youth Orchestra, where I have the opportunity to inspire young minds and help them reach new heights through the power of music.
